AHEPA District 5
MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
AHEPAN Dr. Peter Stavrianidis, Ph.D, MBA, GG, CGA
New Brunswick AHEPA Brother Dr. Panos Stavrianidis will be honored at this year’s Hermes Expo 26th Anniversary Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at The Best Western Hotel in Concordville, PA (https://hermesexpo.com/dinner)
Brother Panos is a fourth generation professional jeweler/gemologist/designer, a passionate educator and an avid human rights advocate.
As a very skillful public speaker – Brother Panos often describes in his signature speech how he values and appreciates people as if they were very precious gems with a variety of colors, characteristics and luster. Dr. Peter, as he is fondly called by his peers and clients, is interested in studying people as much as he is interested in diamonds and precious gems. The fact that he is a certified/graduate gemologist and an academically studied sociologist – does certainly grant him the credibility to such a claim.
He has managed – through hard work, intensive training and exemplary customer service – to elevate – actually triple the volume of his business – during the last few years. With a staff of 8-10 very well trained individuals – he has created a team whose main ingredients are: professionalism, ethics, synergy and passion.
Additionally, Brother Panos is a very well respected professional in the jewelry industry and a very proud member of the American Gem Society – an industry organization that accepts very few jewelry professionals in its ranks – only the best of the best.
He is a well sought after speaker, coach and trainer - participating in many business forums and occasionally teaching as an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) of New York.
Brother Panos most recently spoke at the Greek Independence Day raising of the Greek flag and celebration at St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Piscataway, NJ in which I was invited to attend, and very much enjoyed Brother Panos’ educational presentation. The program and luncheon was sponsored by the New Brunswick AHEPA Family.
Brother Panos has personally trained and coached his staff as well as dozens of other professionals from a variety of industries in the subjects of: sales, client care, marketing, team development, leadership, public speaking, HR, networking, etc.
Lastly, Brother Panos does what he does because he sees it as his family’s legacy, as a way of life, as a passion and a privilege - and he will continue doing it for as long as he lives.
